We will disclose the above categories of information to the following categories of persons:

  • Our service providers , which include vendors, consultants, contractors and other service providers who perform services or provide functions on our behalf in connection with our business. For example, service providers who support us with marketing, sales, consulting, communications, software maintenance and support, analytics, social media, market research, legal use auditing, licensing compliance, security, user authentication, localization, and payment processing. Our service providers process your information pursuant to contractual terms that limit the providers’ rights to use your information.
  • Our business partners , such as integration partners, channel partners (such as resellers), event sponsors, partners and attendees, advertising partners, and Autodesk’s App Store distributors, with whom you will interact to facilitate your relationship with Autodesk; and business partners working together to achieve the purposes described in our or such business partners’ privacy statements.
  • Our related businesses to achieve the purposes and information use purposes described in this Privacy Statement, including providing you with integrated offerings (including managing purchases, services and payments for our integrated offerings) and to safeguard our legitimate interests.   • In the case of social networking services and platforms used to build relationships or share information publicly , to the service provider, or to your contacts on such services or platforms.
  • When we are required by law to disclose information to certain individuals , such as in response to a subpoena or court order.
  • Law enforcement, legal advisors, or other parties reasonably necessary when we determine that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or applicable governmental request, or to enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions, or to establish, exercise, or defend the rights of Autodesk, Autodesk personnel, customers, or others. For more information on Autodesk policies regarding responding to law enforcement requests, see the Autodesk Transparency Report ; (b) preventing or responding to instances of fraud or software piracy; and (c) protecting the rights, property, or safety of Autodesk, our customers, and the public.
  • Persons involved in the consideration, negotiation and completion of business transactions , including sales, mergers, acquisitions, changes in control, transfers of entity assets, bankruptcy or reorganization, and any subsequent integration.

We may also disclose your personal information to other parties, but only with your consent or instruction to achieve any purpose requested or permitted by you.

We may share aggregated, anonymized or de-identified demographic, statistical or other information about use of our content with third parties for marketing, analytical, planning and other purposes. This information does not specifically identify any particular user.

We maintain a reasonable and appropriate combination of physical, organizational, administrative and technical procedures and controls to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, loss, modification or other malicious actions. We take reasonable steps to limit access to your personal information to Autodesk's employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information to perform their duties. Our collection of personal data is limited to that which is reasonably necessary for the provision of our products.

What are your rights and options?

You have the right to access, update, delete, receive a copy of, or limit our use of your personal data. When we process personal data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

Please log in to your account to use our application to manage your profile and content. You can also delete your personal information and close your account. If you do not have an Autodesk Account, you can submit a removal request using this form . Subject to applicable law, we may retain certain information about you for legal and internal business purposes, such as fraud prevention.

To request a copy of your personal information in your account, please submit this form . Subject to applicable law, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request, and we may request other forms of verification based on the personal information nature of the request.

Certain legal jurisdictions provide individuals with additional rights with respect to their personal data. Depending on where you live or applicable law, you may also have the right to:

  • Object to our processing of your personal data
  • Ask us to block or anonymize your personal data where appropriate
  • Obtain a copy of your personal data and transfer it to a third party
  • Opting out of receiving certain direct marketing communications
  • Opting out of disclosure of certain personal information to third parties
  • Opt out of targeted advertising
  • Opt out of profiling that may have legal or other significant impacts on you (please note that we do not engage in such profiling activities)
  • Exercising your rights will not result in the denial of access to goods or services, however, you may be entitled to a different level of service or different rates or prices depending on applicable law.
  • Please lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority in your jurisdiction.

These rights may be limited in certain circumstances by local law. For example, even if you ask us to delete your personal information, we may still need to retain it to complete a transaction you have requested, comply with our legal obligations, or for other limited business purposes required or permitted by law. To opt-out of certain direct marketing communications, you may visit your Autodesk Account to change your communication preferences, or you may use the unsubscribe link or other instructions provided in the communications you receive. Where we process personal data on behalf of a client, we may refer the request to the relevant client and cooperate with their request processing process in accordance with any special contractual arrangements with that client.

In jurisdictions where required by law, Autodesk websites recognize global privacy controls available in certain web browsers. (For more information about GPC, how to enable GPC, and how to use browsers or browser extensions that incorporate GPC signals, see https://globalprivacycontrol.org/.) If your web browser transmits this signal, Autodesk will opt you out of the use of personal data collected during your browsing session for the purpose of serving advertisements on that browser. If you are also logged into your Autodesk Account, Autodesk will opt you out of other forms of sharing your information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

  • For individuals in Canada , Autodesk may share your Personal Data for cross-context behavioral advertising. For example, disclosing your personal data to third-party advertising platforms. You can opt-out of such sharing by using this form. Read Canada's FAQs, including information about PIPEDA and Quebec's Law No. 25. Autodesk may transfer personal data outside of Canada and the Province of Quebec.

We will store your personal information and content on our servers and the servers of our service providers. Because we and our service providers maintain servers around the world, your personal data may be transferred across borders and stored outside of your country or region. We will retain your personal data for as long as is reasonably necessary or permitted (and consistent with the purposes for which it was collected). For example, to provide you with the content you are using or have requested, to establish, exercise or defend legal claims and to comply with legal obligations. The criteria we use to determine retention periods include the duration of our relationship with you, the nature and sensitivity of the data processed, whether we have a legal obligation to retain the data, the risk of harm from unauthorised disclosure of the data and whether the purposes of the processing can be achieved by other means. Data may continue to be retained in copies for a period of time for backup and business continuity purposes. As further described below, you can delete information from your account at any time. In some cases, we may not be able to completely delete, anonymize or de-identify your personal data due to technical, legal, compliance or other operational reasons.
